Unforgettable Moments

Unforgettable Moments

Today’s journal is written by a wonderful woman – Andrea

What can I possibly say to convey the feelings I have experienced here in Cambodia, words fail me. I came wanting to be a blessing to the staff and kids but feel that they have truly undone me.

Andrea was moved to tears by the changes GIBTK brought to the children's lives

The love, kindness and care they have given us since we arrived has been outstanding. To see all the children waiting at the gate as we turn up with signs with our names on them and then the hugs that followed bought tears to my eyes. The delight in their eyes as they proudly showed us around their home was all I needed to see to know that God was in this place. They all shared about their hopes for the future and all their hopes were about being able to help the next generation coming behind them, what an inspiration!

As for the staff, wow! They are so dedicated to the work, actually more than dedicated, they demonstrate true servanthood. Nothing is too much trouble, as the words leave your mouth they are looking to help.

We came to give and serve but have been continually out-given and out-served by both the staff and the kids!

These people are incredibly passionate

The people of Cambodia have such a gentle spirit, willing to serve with humility, something that is hard to find in Australia but something that is really valuable and needed so as I leave this country I will try hard to remember how we were treated here and do the same for the people God leads me to serve.

I am continually reminded that there are some appointments that are God ordained and this visit I feel is one of those appointments. I know that wherever I go and whatever I'm called to do I will see the faces of the kids and staff I met in Cambodia and you will all be cheering me on just as I am cheering you on.

?Thank you from the bottom of my heart which is now 10 times bigger than it was when I arrived. Love and blessing from me Andrea.
