If we stop learning we forget what we know... Nams journal
This week is another opportunity to meet one of our GITK team. Todays journal is writen by nam. My words would fall short in trying to describe her enthusiam and energy. A smile that could cross borders and an attitude  to win that will not be stopped. The first dzen or so times I met her shed come boldly to me, BIG smile and introduce herself, "I am Nam I am GIBTK team member!" The only way I have gotten her to stop introuducing herself is when I see her coming I say "your Nam and you are GIBTK team membewr" She smiles big and say's yes!!!

"If we stop learning, we forget what we know..."
Working at GIBTK is a miraculous opportunity that I have never thought of before. I have been working here for just about one year but the knowledge and experience I have got is valuable.

It is obviously true that if we stop learning, we will forget what we know, especially with a language. If we study a new language and do not practice it, we can never use it as fluently as our mother tongue. Working at GIBTK I have a great chance to practice English, my only major, to improve and develop my language skills.

Furthermore, I am fortunate and grateful to work in an environment where everyone sees learning as a way of personal growth. After graduation, I was sent to new type of learning, learn to be a leader. J It opens me up to a new world of work, new world of learning and new world of changes.

One of the knowledge I have been trained and worked on is to look at things differently. We had the most wonderful trip together ever when Robert taught us how to move back some steps to look at situations or problems intelligently and logically before making decisions. I do not know whether I am good at applying this or not, but at least, I have learned how to look at people around me differently or maybe at least I have looked at our kids differently.
I am now in charge of Carmela's home, a safe house for unfortunate kids under 18 years old. It is not easy to work with kids especially those who do not receive much loves from their parents or families. Therefore, I was facing with much pressure to work in this position at first, but things are getting better to be with them, to love and to be loved by these beloved kids. They are truly a magical gift for my life.
Often, there is some negative thinking about children living in orphanages or homes like ours such as not being obedient or not studying well. However, when we live with them, we will see the different picture. Each kid has their own value and talents no matter where they come from, what levels of studying they get. No matter what was going on their lives before, they are still kids, the future of the nation and the world. Since the time working with them, I learn how not to determine nor criticize anyone by their family circumstance, their behavior or their appearance. We must look deeply into their inside to see their core values, their hearts and their souls. Surely, it is not easy to learn how to appreciate a person through their own values.
I love calling the kids "My kids" and the word comes out from the bottom of my heart with great pride on each of them. Some are really good kids with no complain on them. Some may not do well at school but their talents are at some other aspects. Dancing, singing, making fun for others. All are so magical! Some may do some mistakes sometimes, but their ways to apologize and change themselves express their heroic characters.
The kids are always beloved as the way they are. I will never forget every time we gather to rehearse for an upcoming dance, we make the living room the funniest place ever. And, how happy and proud of my kids when I see them perform on the stage. They inspire me, inspire us and the whole party hall. How talented!

Kids are a gift for the future. Building and developing kids means we are investing our whole life for the next generation of the world. It is meaningful, isn't it? What a satisfactory life to work for these fulfilled things! My pleasure to invest all my time on the work! Thank GIBTK for giving me this opportunity. Also, many thanks because
